About Diamantaire
John Maxwell started Diamantaire under the premise that having jewelry appraisals should be conducted with one principle in mind, provide the customer with an honest estimate! What seemed universally lacking in his experience was a commonality of ethics, lack of consistent integrity, and honesty. John Maxwell went on to start Diamantaire Evaluations and Grading with ethics as the cornerstone.

They became adept at grading by employing our skills as a Graduate Gemologist and Accredited Jewelry Professionals, toward weights and measures, clarity grading in the field when it came to diamonds using the Four C’s of Diamond Quality, and Gem Identification, precious metal testing and weight. They graded sizable lots, brought in, on take-in before consignment. They have also graded the last few pieces of the Jacquie K Story estate. During their time of gaining grading, evaluations, weights and measures experience; they have seen everything from the sumptuous, consequential, to good and lesser-grade examples. They never hesitated to reach out to fellow colleagues in the Jewelry industry, if they ever needed a second opinion.
As an added layer of trust and confidence, they will never carry any inventory of his own. Which is to ensure that the professional colleague and private client understands the whole premise of Diamantaire. Our aim is to spread unbiased, unmotivated wisdom, experience and expertise to help the client or colleague make wise choices with the inventory, take-in, or pieces they have. The pivotal intention being ethics, honest evaluations, market trends and current trends in fashion to help them make the best decisions possible.
